Job Overview:
The Commercial Solar Installer will assist with solar installation projects in the tri-state area.
The solar installer is responsible for assembling and installing roof or ground mounted solar photovoltaic (PV) modules in compliance with the site assessments and schematics.
STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS:
Requirements are representative of minimum levels of knowledge, skills and/or abilities. To perform this job successfully, the incumbent will possess the abilities or aptitudes to perform each duty proficiently.
Some requirements may exclude individuals who pose a direct threat or significant risk to the health and safety of themselves, or other employees.
Qualifications:
- 12 Years of experience in solar installation preferred.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- General construction knowledge preferred
- Ability to work with all types of handheld and power tools
- OSHA 10/OSHA 30 preferred
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Measuring, cutting, assembling, hoisting, anchoring, and placing solar modules and racking.
- Install photovoltaic solar racking and modules in accordance with codes and standards, using drawings, schematics, and instructions.
- Maintain high levels of quality assurance and quality control.
- Communicate with customers and coworkers in a respectful, professional manner.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- Ability to lift and / or carry up to 75 pounds daily.
- Ability to walk on uneven, slippery, and muddy conditions
- Ability to sit and / or stand for extended periods of time, up to 10 hours daily.
- Ability to work outdoors in all environmental conditions.
- Ability to operate and maneuver on and off an allterrain vehicle throughout the day.
