An EPC P6 Project Scheduler is a critical role in the management of large-scale construction projects.

This professional is responsible for developing, managing, and updating the project schedule, which outlines all the tasks, timelines, and resources required to complete a project from start to finish.


Here are key aspects of the role:

Responsibilities:


Schedule Development and Management:

Create detailed project schedules that include all phases of project execution, from engineering and procurement to construction and commissioning.


Integration and Coordination:

Work closely with project managers, engineers, and procurement specialists to align the project schedule with available resources, technical requirements, and contractual obligations.

Ensure all interdependencies are identified and managed effectively.


Monitoring and Reporting:
Regularly track project progress against the schedule, identifying any deviations or potential delays. Provide timely updates and reports to project stakeholders, enabling informed decision-making.


Risk Management:
Identify potential scheduling risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate delays. Work with the project team to assess impacts of design changes, supply chain disruptions, or unforeseen challenges.


Compliance and Standards:
Ensure the scheduling and planning processes comply with industry standards and best practices, as well as contractual requirements. Maintain documentation and records to support project audits.


Stakeholder Engagement:
Facilitate regular schedule review meetings with project teams and stakeholders. Clearly communicate scheduling challenges and negotiate solutions to critical path issues.

Technical Proficiency: P6 experience is a must.
