    Senior Accountant

    CFS is working with a local, well-known nonprofit seeking a Senior Accountant. This is a new role the organization is adding to the team.

    Responsibilities:

    • Specialize in payroll journal entries, process and procedure optimization
    • Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations, monthly journal entries and adjustments to support monthly financial statement preparation. Assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to GAAP
    • Prepare monthly journal entries and adjustments to support timely financial reporting.
    • Analyze and maintain detailed records of all revenue streams, including government grants and donations.
    • Assist with the annual audit process by gathering information and preparing accounting schedules.
    • Research and analyze account activities and variances to identify potential issues.
    • Collaborate with colleagues across departments to implement process improvements and contribute to workgroup initiatives.
    • Participate in special projects as assigned.

    You are a great fit if you have:

    • 3+ years of accounting experience
    • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
    • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
    • Experienced with payroll related journal entries
