ATTENDANCE REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION ARE AS FOLLOWS:
Temporary Part-Time Position, Non-rotating 17.5 hour work week, end of school day - 6pm, Monday through Friday. Must be able to work additional hours as needed by department.

Responsibilities

The essential duties for this position are as follows: Must be able to supervise staff; have good administrative and clerical skills; be able to deliver daily deposits to financial institutions per department guidelines; assist the Area Manager to complete required reports and correspondence; must possess strong communication and leadership skills to appropriately address any needs expressed by children 5 to 12 years of age; must use good judgment to effectively supervise a group of at least 20 children; have skills in instructing a variety of recreational programs; must be able to administer first aid/CPR.

Implements weekly lesson plans and schedules of site/center, providing instruction when necessary. Provide good customer service to internal/external customers. May be asked to perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Position requires a High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of 15 clock hours of training in child or youth development, recreational leadership, or management at time of hire.

Must have a total of 30 clock hours within first 90 days of employment. Must also have at least 6 months of experience in a licensed operation or similar experience. Must obtain CPR and First Aid certifications prior to job assignment.

A valid driver's license is required.

Successful out of state candidates must be able to obtain a valid Texas driver's license within 90 days of hire.

Application review and the City may also conduct additional skill assessment tests, in addition to the panel interview.
