We are a growing IT company specializing in the telecommunications industry located in Martinsville, VA.

With our deep industry expertise, innovative technology, and proprietary software platform, we have been successfully implementing complex processes for our clients for almost 12 years.

Currently, over 90 vitroconnect colleagues are working on our solutions and we are looking to expand our team. We need your support as a full-time Information Security Officer (m/f/d).


Your responsibilities will include:


  • You will be responsible for the development and maintenance of the Information Security Management System (ISMS) in accordance with the requirements of ISO 27001 certification.
  • You will ensure compliance with these requirements and continuously improve information security policies, procedures, and measures.
  • You will coordinate and monitor activities related to critical infrastructures (KRITIS) and the Network and Information Security Directive (NIS2).
  • You will align the requirements of the Telecommunications Act (TKG) with the ISMS.
  • You will conduct training on information security policies and procedures and raise awareness among employees.
  • You will be responsible for internal and external audits and coordinate certification procedures.

Your profile should include:


  • You have a degree in computer science, information technology, information security, or a comparable qualification.
  • You have previous work experience in information security, with experience in the IT/telecommunications industry being an advantage.
  • You have indepth knowledge of ISO 27001 and experience in developing an ISMS.
