- Active state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner with a specialty in Psychiatry
- Graduate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- Certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the American -Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP)
- DEA Licensing
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a clinical setting providing psychiatric care preferred but not required
- Experience in diagnosing and treating a wide range of mental and/or emotional health disorders.
- Residence currently or in the near future to be commuting distance from Bedford NH.
- Knowledge of psychiatric medications and their side effects and interactions
- Ability to respond after hours to emergencies as needed.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to develop rapport with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals
- Ability to work independently and manage a caseload of patients in a fast-paced environment.

Description
Phenix Psychiatric, located in Bedford NH, is seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner for a Hybrid position. Weekday or weekend hours can be set by the provider and can even vary month to month. Appointments can be in the office, or telehealth from either the office or home. This position could exist strictly online but we are looking for someone within commuting distance who is able to see patients in person as needed so the types of appointments will likely be a mix of in person, and telehealth. The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for managing their caseload of patients, prescribing, coordinating care with other providers, and developing and implementing treatment plans based on the patient's unique needs. Our staff provides onboarding, all insurance verifications, billing, and claim/payment correspondence. Prescriptions and prior authorizations are provider responsibilities at this time.
Qualifications include but are not limited to:
We use PracticeQ as an EMR, and Spruce messaging for patient communication. All co-pay, insurance claims, and payment items are handled by our staff. The parameters of this position are quite flexible and are open for discussion. This is a 1099 position. Pay structure is flexible and commensurate based on your experience, availability per week, and likely patient population. Please contact us to discuss more details.
