    Accounting Manager 9592


    ResponsibilitiesPrepare and submit monthly journal entries and account reconciliations in a timely mannerIdentify areas for process improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency and accuracyEnsure compliance with all internal controls and accounting policiesEnsure department milestones/goals and metrics are metAssist in month-end close and annual audit processStreamline processes to increase organizational efficiencySupport the accounting team in overseeing the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing process.

    Prepare journal entries and account/balance sheet reconciliations and complete variance analysis.
    Maintain and utilize financial analysis tools to prepare financial reporting packages.
    Support acquisition activities and integration of new business units related to parts and service departments.
    Monitor and ensure compliance with GAAP, regulatory requirements, and other internal policies and best practices.
    Assist in and support process improvement projects.
    Prepare audit schedules and provide supporting documentation for external auditors.


    RequirementsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldStrong knowledge of accounting principles, procedures, and regulationsAbility to thoroughly research, analyze and reconcile company-wide financial documentsAbility to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projectsExperience using accounting software and/or ERP systemsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsCompany Description Thomas Edwards Group is an Executive Search Firm specializing in the direct hire and interim placement of Accounting, Finance, HR and IT professionals.
