- Working with (copper) refrigeration line sets to construct, build, install, and repair equipment for commercial and industrial use
- Identifying equipment maintenance risks and hazards
- Maintain collaborative working relationships with customers and coworkers
- Perform installation of flex and sheet metal duct systems in light commercial
- Perform installation of HVAC-related equipment while following company policies and manufacturer's specifications
- Understanding of the principles of air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating
- Ability to use hand and power tools associated with the HVAC field
- Ensuring all tools, materials, and equipment are in good working condition and up to date
- Address customer concerns before, during, and after service visits
- Following occupational health and safety regulations
- Observation of all company and customer procedures and safety rules
- Knowledge of mechanical systems, components, tools, and materials related to the HVAC/R industry
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and diagrams
- Must be able to travel out of the area for work
- Be able to push, pull, carry, or maneuver heavier items (with additional manpower or appropriate devices); carry ladders, work from heights, or work in small crawl spaces
- Demonstrate mechanical competence and skills
- Understanding the principles of air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating
- Excellent verbal and communication skills in order to manage HVAC protocols
- Ability to adapt to changes as they occur and work in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment
- Ability to work independently in a timely manner, making sure the job is done correctly the first time
