As our nationwide growth accelerates, our Human Resources team in Mechanicsburg plays a key role in driving forward our mission of Bringing Happiness to Every Home by supporting employees by administering our wide variety of leave and disability programs.

As a Leave Administration Specialist at West Shore Home, you will contribute to this mission by supporting employee through a great employee experience and administering company sponsored leave programs that are critical to success of our employee base.

What You'll Contribute


In this role, you can expect to:

  • Communicate with employees regarding their needs for leave and/or workplace accommodation; ensure that employees are aware of their responsibilities and of any documentation and notice required to qualify for and to take leave.
  • Handle the FMLA leave administration process from the employees' initial notice of the need for leave to the return to work, including determining leave eligibility, gathering, and completing all required paperwork, designating leave as FMLAqualifying, requesting medical certification as needed, and accounting for intermittent and reduced schedule leave use.
  • Maintain reasonable communication with employees on leave to facilitate smooth and timely return to work, relays communication between employees, their managers, and appropriate Human Resources representatives during leave within reason.
  • Advise managers and employees on the interaction of leave laws with paid time off, and shortterm and longterm disability benefits.
What It Takes to Succeed

We'll provide you with the training and tools to set you up for success, and we hope that you'll bring:


  • Bachelor's degree, Human Resources or Business Administration Preferred.
  • 2+ years' experience assisting with leave administration programs preferred.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Proficiency to Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Excel skills.
  • Experience with Dayforce software preferred.
  • Superior customer service skills, including excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Must have a valid smart phone or smart device to log in to Company required systems using twofactor authentication.
