Content Strategist Responsibilities
- Develop strategic content framework and cohesive content calendar to ensure strategic approach to Derse's marketing communications and lead generation programs.
- Develop social content persona(s) to gain audience understanding across content channels.
- Identify content trends and best practices that can be implemented across online and offline channels.
- Monitor all digital mediums including but not limited to the Derse website, LinkedIn, and Instagram to identify optimal content updates.
- Use Search Engine Optimization (SEO) best practices to ensure website and blog content is relevant to identified audiences.
- Develop relationships with account and creative teams to monitor/analyze existing account successes for story opportunities.
- Analyze performance of content engagement to optimize and adjust approach when necessary.
- Build content partner relationships consistent with Derse earned media strategy.
- Elevate the Derse brand by creating and distributing valuable, relevant, and consistent written content to attract and retain Derse's defined customer audiences.
- Ensure written copy integrates overall corporate messaging and segmented audience personas.
- Partner with graphic designers to integrate creative and design elements into content strategy and planned tactics.
- Provide SEO optimization recommendations based on content development and results.
- Consistently evaluate appropriate marketing channels to distribute relevant content through various avenues.
- Develop content for marketing trade shows, events, and prospect/client events.
- Look for opportunities to integrate content marketing strategies with campaign communications.
- Research, write, and distribute all Derse press releases.
- Maintain relationships with industry and nonindustry PR contacts.
- Help identify strategic sponsorships and speaking engagements both inside and outside industry (i.e., thought leadership opportunities).
- Assist in the development and refinement of Derse's internal communications approach.
- Work with each corporate department to develop proactive internal communications plan for their companywide communications needs.
- Develop feature articles showcasing interesting/relatable stories and tangible results.
- Assist team in building/reviewing proposal responses that highlight Derse's strengths and solve specific client challenges.
Requirements:
Content Strategist Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, English, Communications, or related field required.
- 5 years' experience within marketing, journalism, or copywriting preferred.
- Social media and maintaining a content calendar experience preferred.
- Ability to travel as needed.
