    We have an opportunity for a Sr. Reinsurance Accountant to join our Berkley Re America team You will be handle reinsurance accounting responsibilities, Facultative and Treaty. Supportthe Reinsurance Accounting Unit by striving for and achieving consistent results for goals established by the Department Manager.

    This position will be based in our Stamford, CT office. We offer 4 days in the office, 1 day remote.

    Key functions include but are not limitedto:
    Review, analyze and process assumed premium and loss transactions
    Review reporting and settlement in conjunction with the terms of the contract
    Apply cash and manage recoverable
    Handle all inquiries for assigned accounts
    Communicate with Claims and Underwriting Departments to ensure accurate reporting of data
    Effectively utilize imaging system
    Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
    Reinsurance accounting operations experience, Facultative and Treaty
    Understanding of reinsurance accounting business cycle
    Comfortable reading and interpreting contracts
    Ability to operate independently with limited supervision
    Advanced Excel skills (Pivots tables, data relationships, etc.)
    Familiar with document imaging systems
