Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Care Aide to join our team.

As a Direct Care Aide, you will provide assistance and support to individuals with diverse needs, including personal care, emotional support, and daily activities.

Your role is essential in promoting independence and ensuring the well-being of our clients.


Responsibilities:


  • Provide direct care and support to individuals with diverse needs, including personal hygiene, dressing, bathing, and grooming.
  • Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding as needed.
  • Administer medications according to established protocols and guidelines.
  • Accompany clients to medical appointments and assist with transportation as necessary.
  • Assist clients with mobility and transfers, using proper lifting techniques and equipment when required.
  • Document and maintain accurate records of client care and progress, including any changes in condition or behavior.
  • Encourage and support independence in daily activities, while promoting a safe and comfortable environment.
  • Foster positive relationships with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals through effective communication and collaboration.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, promoting their overall wellbeing and quality of life.
  • Follow all regulations and guidelines for confidentiality and privacy.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Previous experience as a Direct Care Aide or a similar role is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of personal care techniques and familiarity with assistive devices is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to empathize and connect with individuals of diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong observation and problemsolving skills to identify and address clients' needs effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift and transfer clients safely.
  • Reliable and compassionate with a strong commitment to providing highquality care.
  • Flexibility to work different shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
