Job Overview:


Under direct supervision of the Chief Information Officer (CIO), The Computer Support Technician (CST) installs, maintains, tests, and repairs systems and networks.

Utilizes basic technical knowledge to support IT initiatives and provide first-level technical information systems support.


Position Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide individual instruction and/or training to users on internal computer systems and IT policies.
  • Identify possible problems from common issues and report problems and the suggested recommendations to Management.
  • Assists with tracking inventory levels of equipment and materials; performs data entry and maintenance of records such as, but not limited to, project documents, user instructions, general reports, and/or systems errors.
  • Performs technological systems support, maintenance, and testing for proper upkeep of systems; troubleshoots and resolves general system hardware, software, and network failures and conflicts.
  • Assists with the review, evaluation, and recommendation of solutions relating to hardware and software acquisitions or network updates.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills and Requirements

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent, plus six months of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the position's duties and responsibilities.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Personal computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Office software.
  • Sound judgment and ability to analyze and troubleshoot computer issues.
  • Must have access to a personal vehicle with active vehicular insurance and be willing to transport computers and accessories to all Easterseals work and event locations.

Pay:
$ $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
