Job Summary
The logistics coordinator is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations within the logistics department.

Responsibilities may include logistics planning, sequencing daily order picking, coordinating shipping and receiving, managing warehousing software, supporting warehousing processes, and any other duties that support the efficient movement of product within the network.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Creates pick waves based on order volumes, order characteristics, and operational capacity, determines the sequence in which orders are processed, and assigns pick/process tasks to warehouse associates.
  • Analyzes wave performance and makes adjustments to improve efficiency, productivity, and costeffectiveness. Identifies bottlenecks, process inefficiencies, or areas for improvement within the wave planning process.
  • Monitors and maintains the company's warehouse management system (WMS) to ensure it is running optimally
  • Provides user support to warehouse personnel and other stakeholders
  • Troubleshoot any technical issues related to the WMS and coordinate with IT as needed to resolve them
  • Manage system configurations and updates, ensuring that they are properly tested and implemented
  • Assist with user training and onboarding as needed and maintain training materials.
  • Monitor system performance and generate reports on key metrics as needed
  • Collaborates with inventory coordinators to conduct cycle counts and ensures availability of products for order fulfillment.
  • Acts as liaison between operations, logistics, planning/procurement, and customer service to ensure smooth coordination and execution of waves. Communicate changes, delays, or issues that may impact order fulfillment or customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinates carrier pick up times for shipments

Education, Experience, Skills, and/or Abilities

  • Highschool diploma or GED required, Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in warehousing or shipping administration required; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 1 years of experience administering an ERP, WMS, or similar system
  • Strong computer skills a must, database management skills a plus
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations and processes
  • Experience with system integrations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams
  • Strong problemsolving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fastpaced environment
  • Good organization and problemsolving skills
  • Detailoriented nature
  • Ability to work with limited supervision
