- Reports observed or suspected safety violations, hazards, and policy/procedure noncompliance to the safety officer or other designated person.
- Transports patients to and from waiting room, pre op area, operating room, PACU, and to the patient's driver outside of the building, ensuring patient comfort, dignity and privacy.
- Obtains vital signs and assists patient with changing pre/post procedure as needed.
- Assists with turning over the procedure rooms in between cases.
- Prepares bed rolls and makes patient packs for the next day.
- Cleans bays and procedure rooms between cases, assists with terminal cleaning of procedure rooms at the end of the day.
- Knows the location of supplies and assists the materials manager in keeping all PPE's and supplies stocked.
- Distributes clean linen and scrubs to all appropriate areas.
- Assists patients with urinals, bedpans, and emesis basins.
- Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
- High school or GED, plus specialized schooling and/or on the job education in a specific skill area; e.g. data processing, clerical/administrative, equipment operation, etc,
- 0 to 6 months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
