    Description
    The Senior API Engineer is in charge of the ownership and management of partner integrations. This responsibility includes understanding the business requirements, translating them into technical requirements, planning and executing projects.

    As a Senior API Engineer, you will have the opportunity to speed up critical project execution and adoption of our integrated telephony products.

    This role involves working at the intersection of our voice platform, software development, product planning, and vendor management.

    The ideal candidate should have a strong background in collaborative and Agile software development, standards-based API development, and cloud architecture.

    Experience and familiarity with cloud telephony is a bonus. In this highly visible role, you will closely collaborate with product development, sales, customer success, support, and technical leadership. Your responsibilities will include the technical ownership of key integrations.

    RESPONSIBILITIES
    Execute multiple projects simultaneously utilizing engineering and project management best practices.
    Utilize technical expertise to identify, plan, and execute key project dependencies based on feedback from stakeholders.

    Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, create a plan, and provide progress updates to the leadership team.

    Create technical scope of work to fulfill business requirements.
    Lead technical discussions with third-party partners.
    Understand and communicate internal business needs and align them with the capabilities of desired vendor partnerships.
    Generate and maintain technical documentation for telephony partnerships and integrations.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Must have at least 3+ years of experience owning and delivering engineering projects, with a focus on collaborative software development and API design and development.

    Should be familiar with modern microservice architecture patterns and technologies in AWS. [SD1]

    Expertise in RESTful API best practices.
    Preferred exposure to telephony and familiarity with the hosted VoIP ecosystem.
    Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    Experience in presenting technical topics to a non-technical audience.
    Demonstrated ability to solve technical and business problems through hands-on experience.
    Proven success in owning and managing large customer-facing technical projects.
    Experience in developing and deploying enterprise software.
    Proven ability to work effectively with diverse teams of professionals with different technical and business backgrounds.

    Strong organizational and analytical skills, including the ability to adapt to changing needs and shifting priorities while minimizing project impact.
