    Our work depends on a Cybersecurity SME joining our team to support the Department of Energy's National Nuclear Security Administration.

    The National Nuclear Security Administration IT Managed Services (NIMS) is an exciting program performing IT support for the Department of Energy's organization responsible for enhancing national security through the application of nuclear science by maintaining and enhancing the safety, security, and effectiveness of the US nuclear weapons stockpile.

    This support is provided in several locations across the US giving employees great options for geographically diverse work locations.

    The primary goal of the program will be to support the NNSA Associate Administrator for Information Management and Chief Information Officer (OCIO) in modernizing its IT and Cybersecurity Infrastructure and transforming current IT and Cybersecurity services to a managed service environment.

    As the Cybersecurity SME, you will serve as a technical expert for maintaining and enhancing the security fabric of services within scope of NIMS with a particular focus on helping to drive a culture of building a proactive security posture.

    Other responsibilities include, * Coordinates across service providers and Task Areas to ensure security guidelines and policies are adhered to.


    • Coordinates with Task Order 2 on areas such as updates to the Enterprise IT Security Plan.
    • Creating and updating system security plans and Authorities to Operate (ATOs).
    • Creating compliance reports; supporting the audit process; measuring performance metrics; and reporting on security operations to the Government.

    HOW A CYBERSECURITY SME WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

    • Help manage and implement cybersecurity processes.
    • Have exposure senior leadership with both the client and GDIT leadership.
    • Work across teams and help program leadership coordinate and deliver on complex tasks.
    • Contribute to one of the nation's most important mission, securing nuclear power and arsenals.
    • Use your skills to deliver a successful program.

    WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

    • Bachelor's Degree in a related business or technical discipline.
    • 10+ years of relevant Cybersecurity experience.
    • Current professional certification such as IASAE III, CISSP-ISSEP.
    • Active DOE Q, L, or TS clearance

This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
