    Job Title: Remote/Hybrid California Associate Clinicians

    Bay Area Therapy Group A Marriage Family Counseling Corporation was founded in 2021 with a mission to create a group practice where therapists could focus on providing client services, without having to worry about scheduling or billing, while receiving a living wage and comprehensive benefits. Our company is run transparently with meetings to review company status as well as explore areas of strengths and areas of improvements. In just two years, we have grown from a single therapist and one intern to almost two dozen therapists, associates and three support staff.

    Position Summary: The remote position is part-time with the option to transition to full-time. Part-time requires a commitment of a minimum of 15 client hours per week. Full-time requires a commitment of 33 client hours per week. Full-time positions will be paid for a 40 hours work week. If a candidate lives in the Bay Area, they will be required to see patients in person two days a week, and one weekend day or evening per week. The clinician may work entirely remote the other times. The position is open to aMFTs, ASW's, LPCs. We cannot provide supervision at this time for an Associate Psychologist.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following:

  • Conduct initial consultations to gather patient's psychosocial information
  • Currently have 1500 or greater hours towards licensure
  • Diagnostically assess a patient's emotional, mental health and develop a treatment plan
  • Intervene with emergency care techniques and protocols when patients are in crisis
  • Provide referrals for additional care or services when required
  • Maintaining detailed confidential records using our Electronic Health Records system
  • Other duties may be assigned

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Education/Experience:

  • M.A., Psy.D. or Ph.D. in Behavioral Sciences
  • Must have a minimum of 1500 BBS hours for the state of California.

    • Computer Skills:

  • Must be able to proficiently document notes in an EHR system.
  • Must have experience providing tele-therapy and communicating with clients through our online portal.

    • Additional Requirements:

  • The clinician must be paneled with the Veteran Administration, through our group practice, before starting
  • An up-to-date CAQH profile
  • An NPI number

    • Ideal Qualifications:

  • Multilingual
  • Certification or additional training in EMDR, neurofeedback, DBT or Gottman Method therapy
  • Specialization in children and adolescents
  • Lived and/or extensive professional experience with neurodivergent, LGBTQ, BIPOC and immigration communities
