- Conduct electro-mechanical calculations, testing, and customer support for systems of varied complexity integrating industrial electro-mechanical system components.
- Support the development of products, components, specifications, and processes for complex electro-mechanical assemblies.
- Develop and document test equipment and procedures for electro-mechanical assemblies, including analysis, troubleshooting, and testing at the component and systems level.
- Develop software or scripts to automate testing processes.
- Collaborate with vendors to analyze products for potential integration into new designs and troubleshoot situations or advise on new features or specifications.
- Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills when interacting with sales, customers, or vendors.
- Interact with customers to understand product requirements, define scope, plans, and deliverables for assigned work.
- Follow and make recommendations to improve company processes and procedures.
- Provide technical leadership, project management, and mentorship to fellow engineers.
- Participate in root cause investigations and analyses.
- Strong electrical and/or mechanical experience in a manufacturing environment, including integration and testing of electro-mechanical systems.
- Proficient in electro-mechanical problem-solving, root cause analysis, and design of experiments.
- Experience with servo drive design, development, commissioning, and troubleshooting for motion control systems.
- Familiarity with various types of automated machinery, robotics, and PC-based motion control software.
- Knowledge of networking protocols such as EtherCAT and CANopen.
- Proficiency with software tools such as Simulink, MATLAB, Python, or LabVIEW.
- Ability to develop PCBAs for various applications.
- Experience in aerospace or medical equipment design is advantageous.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office, ERP, etc.).
- Ability to work effectively across teams and communicate clearly with colleagues, customers, and partners.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed (up to 10% of the time).
- Willingness to work beyond core business hours to meet project deadlines.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- 5 years of experience in a related field

Job Summary:
The Mechatronics Applications Engineer II will play a pivotal role in supporting customers with mechatronics products, providing advice, troubleshooting, and testing. Additionally, this position involves supporting internal product development, production, and returned materials to ensure specifications are met with the highest quality standards. The successful candidate will be a hands-on contributor with project management skills, capable of supporting various tasks involving mechatronics products, including those from third parties.
