Department Overview
Operations Support is dedicated to creating cross-commodity consistency and standards in Operations. The team provides support services guided by best practices and a relentless pursuit for improvement.

It has single points of accountability for Work Management & Resource Planning, Execution Support, Business Operations & Process Improvement, PG&E Academy, and Enterprise Public Works.

Operations Support is comprised of approximately 1,000 coworkers.

Position Summary

The Performance Improvement Leadership works with senior leaders at PG&E to deliver performance improvements through safety improvements, quality enhancement, productivity and delivery gains, and cost reductions by providing analytical rigor, a disciplined lean methodology, and enhanced visibility to process and performance improvement opportunities.

The Performance Improvement leadership may work on projects for various company line of businesses (LOB) or be regularly assigned to one LOB or sub-LOB.

The incumbents direct a focus on continuous improvement and management to move the utility to leading performance.

This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. The assigned work location will be within the PG&E Service Territory.


A reasonable salary range is:


Bay Area Minimum:
$118,000


Bay Area Maximum:
$188,000

&/OR


California Minimum:
$112,000


California Maximum:
$179,000

Job Responsibilities
Supervises a team to deliver streamlined processes and functions that focus on simplicity, efficiency, accountability, and customer satisfaction.

Typically oversees a portfolio of continuous improvement (CI) projects for a sub-line of business (LOB) to ensure effective process management and process mapping, process improvement, and process redesign.

Oversees day to day process improvement activities using the Lean Methodology and tools to measure, analyze, and discuss process alternatives to arrive at best practices.

Identifies, tracks, and manages project issues and risks. Communicates project status, issues and risks to manager/sr. manager and director.
Leads business process improvement activities in support of the business, including process mapping, problem solving, and process re-design.

Provides ad-hoc consultation and recommendations to business partners during strategy and problem solving sessions, critical decision-making, major initiatives, metrics discussions, cross-functional meetings, and/or process improvement initiatives.

Plans for change management and contributes to a continuous process improvement culture within assigned department.
Partners with Manager/Sr.

Manager and Director to receive stakeholder buy-in for multiple initiatives, remove roadblocks for project initiatives, create communication plans, and adapt to constant change in projects and initiatives.
