Summary:


The position will assist patients with completing appropriate eligibility forms for The Healthy Texas Women and The Family Planning Programs.

This will include helping patients gather the necessary information to successfully qualify them and accompany and support them through the process.

Coordinates scheduling patient appointments, transportation and other needed services. The position may be required to travel to any of the eight clinic locations.

Each clinic is typically staffed with a Patient Support Services Coordinator, A Medical Assistant a Nurse (RN or LVN) and a Nurse Practitioner.


The Baylor Teen Health Clinic currently provides pregnancy testing, family planning, sexually transmitted diseases (STD) and HIV/AIDS education and screening, primary healthcare, and case management services to teens, their partners, and adolescents in Harris County.

The clinics provide services to teens from the age of 13-24.


Services We Provide:

  • Comprehensive Exams (Male & Female).
  • Gynecological services.
  • Birth control and family planning.
  • Sexually transmitted disease screening and treatment.
  • Primary healthcare.
  • Administers immunizations.
  • HIV/AIDS education and screening.

Job Duties:

Duties include patient interaction, customer service and basic office skills.

  • Greets, orients and answers patients questions.
  • Assists and guides patients through the eligibility process.
  • Records and maintains reports and data to manage patient qualification status and to support operational activities.
  • Manages multiple task and deadlines using organizational skills.
  • Enters additional information into other databases, and tracks patient information.

Minimum Qualifications:


  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Four years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Experience with the State's Healthy Texas Women and Family Planning Programs.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines using organizational skills.
  • Ability to make independent decisions while exercising good judgment.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
