SUMMARY:


Pacific Park is seeking a Director of Brand to join their marketing team who thrives in a team environment and has related experience in partnership marketing.

The Director of Brand has oversight responsibility for all Park branding, digital marketing, social media, event sales, and developing new partnerships for Pacific Park.


PACIFIC PARK OVERVIEW:


Pacific Park on the Santa Monica Pier is LA's only admission-free amusement park that offers 12 amusement rides, 14 midway games, an oceanfront food plaza and dynamic retail experiences.

The ever-popular Park and iconic Pier enjoy more than 8.5 million visitors annually.

In addition to the Pacific Wheel, the world's only solar-powered Ferris wheel, Pacific Park's signature rides include The West Coaster, a steel roller coaster that races 55 feet above the Santa Monica Bay.

The Park is operated by more than 500 team members, which includes full-time and seasonal positions featuring a highly diverse, dynamic, and passionate team.

This position reports directly to the General Manager

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Supervises marketing department staff; manages team to achieve goals, maintain standard operating procedures, celebrates team successes, and effectively communicates areas of improvement
  • Exhibit's ability to recognize problems and to creatively and immediately find solutions
  • Reaches and exceeds sales revenue goals for bulk and consignment sales, sponsorships, and ticketing which includes groups, promotions, online sales, and annual passes
  • Leads efforts to update and grow Pacific Park's brand identity and strategic brand development
  • Serves as brand custodian of Pacific Park on the Santa Monica Pier both internally and externally; enforces brand standards across all departments and in all uses
  • Acts as primary, proactive solicitor for new park partnerships and new business development
  • Creates proposals including contracts, pricing, and implementation plans for sponsorships, activations, and other events at Pacific Park
  • Processes all related financial records for all booked business and maintain detailed records of all pending and booked business
  • Acts as primary lead for developing and promoting existing and new Park intellectual properties
  • Leads efforts to forge new relationships and partnerships to utilize other intellectual properties inside Pacific Park
  • Develops standard programs, pricing, procedures, and sales practices
  • Attends travel industry trade shows and conferences; maintains relevant industry knowledge, follows trends, and continues to educate and grow within the industry
  • Provide oversight and direction for the creation of Park collateral
  • Negotiate and maintain vendor and partner contracts where appropriate
  • Executes group events, sponsorships, sampling and promotional programs for clients within the Park
  • Creates support materials, guidelines, and operational procedures
  • Ensures a safe working environment; inspect and correct work areas on regular basis; report all workplace injuries and concerns immediately
  • All other duties as assigned and needed
  • All duties and responsibilities must be performed according to Pacific Park policies and procedures

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:


  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Position requires sitting, standing, and walking with occasional stooping, reaching, kneeling, and crouching/ squatting

LOCATION AND WORK ENVIORMENT:


  • This position is located on the Santa Monica Pier.

  • This is a full-time position and not available for remote or work from home
