Our firm is seeking a qualified and motivated individual to support our customer in Fort Meade, Maryland as a RF Engineer who will be responsible for:
Preparing analysis and design of current and proposed voice, data, and video communications, both wire line and wireless to influence engineering plans and networks for customers.
Conducting research of various types of RF communications equipment (receivers, transmitters, RF low-noise and power amplifiers, antennas, and filters) for commercial, military and space applications.
Recommending innovative and effective solutions.Analyzing and interpreting test data utilizing schematic diagrams and electronic troubleshooting tools to identify faulty assets down to the component level.
Use technical equipment such as oscilloscopes, Power Meters, Frequency Counters, Spectrum Analyzers, signal generators, and customer furnished equipment. Performing, briefing, and summarizing research to develop recommendations for enhancements, expansions and/or consolidations of voice, data and video communications.Conducting trade off analysis and analysis of alternatives of various types of RF communications equipment (receivers, transmitters, RF low-noise and power amplifiers, antennas and filters) for commercial, military and space applications.
Developing and analyzing innovative and effective solutions by taking into consideration complex mechanical, thermal, software and EMI compatibility aspects.Education/Experience Requirements:
Bachelor of Science from a four-year college in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) with an emphasis in wireless telecommunications or a related Engineering degree.
Fourteen (14) years of work experience in RF wireless design engineering on telecommunications systems with RF deployment experience Must have an advanced understanding of mathematics, electrical engineering, computers, wireless protocols, wireless physical layer protocols, RF transmission, antennas, RF propagation, RF test/lab equipment, digital signal processing, wireless technologies and protocols, simulation, Spectrum Management, Frequency Planning, and link budget and traffic analysis.
