- Responsible for QA/QC
- Serve as the expert for all internal and external audits including but not limited to: FDA, Kosher, BRC, and GFCO, and responsible to coordinate the implementation of any corrective actions as a result of the audits
- Responsible for achieving the production KPIs (quality, hygiene)
- Implement GMP instructions and enforce compliance
- Proactively propose and implement improvement initiatives (continuous improvement)
- Cultivate a culture where quality and product safety are front-of-mind (safety first, quality always)
- Drive plant toward exceptional hygiene and quality status
- Ensure plant achieves the targeted quality of all end-products
- Responsible for product testing in production (R&D)
- Ensure compliance with FSMA/FDA regulations and IFS standards
- Responsible for lab analysis
- Review and respond to customer complaints, with a goal of determining root-cause and then enacting corrective actions
- Collaborate cross-functionally to keep the plant audit-ready at all times
- Provide training tools and documentation
- Manage pest control program
- Master's degree in food science, food technology, chemistry, or biology
- Bachelor's degree in same domains with minimum 8 years of applicable experience
- FSMA/FDA requirements
- GFSI-certification requirements
- Must be able to perform duties following all regulatory GMP/FSMA food hygiene practices
- Basics of mechanical/electrical engineering and utilities
- 3-5 years of experience (food industry or related)
- Experience with IFS is a plus
- English proficiency (verbal and written)
- Conversational Spanish is a plus
