Job Description

The Project Coordinator provides assistance for offshore surveying and positioning projects during all phases of the project life cycle. The Project Coordinator works closely with Project Managers to achieve company and client objectives for projects awarded.

Additionally, the Project Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient execution of low-complexity projects in such a way that the QHSE, technical, commercial, and contractual requirements are met.

Job Responsibilities

  • Ensures all activities are carried out with the highest regard to the QHSSE.
  • Prioritizes protection of the environment and prevention of pollution.
  • Responsible for the compliance of the project with the policies and procedures of Fugro.
  • Responsible for understanding the project scope, schedule, budget, and deliverables.
  • Identifies and manages internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop effective and supportive relationships with colleagues, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Creates and manages project documentation including Project Execution Plan.
  • Monitors compliance with the Project Execution Plan and documents changes from the approved plan.
  • Creates and manages project Risk Assessment, monitors compliance and documents changes.
  • Manages project startup including personnel briefings and client kickoff meetings.
  • Provides accurate and timely reporting on project metrics including financial and QHSSE.
  • Assist Project Managers with postproject assessments including gathering and distributing lessons learned.
  • Reviews and approves project deliverables and obtains client acceptance1
  • Ensures proper project closeout including client review meeting and final financial settlement.
  • Contributes to continuous improvement initiatives within the company.
  • Observe all Fugro and client safety requirements when visiting locations outside the office.
  • Demonstrates leadership and commitment to Fugro core values.
Job Requirements

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without restrictions.
  • Possess current driver's license with acceptable motor vehicle record.
  • Two years' surveyrelated experience with practical and technical knowledge in the offshore Positioning and Construction industry.
  • Experience with commercial and contractual aspects of project management is considered an asset, but not required.
  • Ability to read and interpret general business communications, client project documents, contacts, commercial proposals, equipment specifications, task procedures, governmental regulations, and industry periodicals.
  • Ability to write project documents, proposals, reports, general business correspondence, and procedures.
  • Ability to effectively speak before individuals and groups to present information and respond to questions from managers, team members, other internal stakeholders, clients, and the public.
  • Ability to read and interpret survey maps and charts, technical drawings, and various diagrams.
  • Ability to define problems, collect oral and written input, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Experienced with MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Capable of navigating accounting software
  • Exposure to MS Projects and to AutoCAD/ArcGIS and similar programs is an asset.
  • Basic knowledge of land surveying methods and practices certificates and Licenses.
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable motor vehicle record.
  • Valid US passport / US visa or ability to obtain either.
  • TWIC, PEC, and BOSIET water survival course
  • Current OGUK physical to allow work offshore or the ability to obtain one
