    Job Description & Requirements

    We are looking for an energetic, conscientious and detail oriented individual who enjoys making a difference, being part of a team and takes pride in their career to work in our office.

    This position oversees various civil engineering construction projects in Western North Dakota, primarily within 70 miles of Williston.

    Typical duties/Assignments:

    Performs work that requires a broad knowledge of precedents in the specialty area and a good knowledge of the principles and practices of related specialties.

    Maintains significant client contact throughout the project duration and performs promotional duties by meeting with new and prospective clients. May be involved with proposal preparation and presentation at interviews. May serve as office manager.

    Education:
    High School Diploma, Associates Degree Preferred

    General Knowledge of the following is preferred:
    Construction of civil projects such as water, sewer, drainage and street systems
    Knowledge of state and federal codes and regulatory agency requirements
    Design and rehabilitation of water distribution systems
    Design and rehabilitation of sewage collection systems
    Preparation of Preliminary Engineering Reports for water and wastewater facilities
    Experience with municipal, county, and DOT facilities
    Understanding of municipal, county, and state governments
    Understanding of department of transportation design and construction process
    Interest in transportation, hydraulics, and municipal engineering
    Subdivisions
    Storm water collection and storm water detention/retention/reuse systems
    Basic surveying
    Quantity Take Offs & Cost Estimating

    Direction Received:
    Supervision received is essentially administrative, with assignments given in terms of broad general objectives and limits.

    Supervisory Responsibility :
    Supervises, coordinates and reviews the work technicians, estimates manpower needs and schedules and assigns work to meet completion dates.
