NSF is looking to add an Independent Contractor to join our team as an
IC Product Certification Auditor based out of the Chicago, IL area
.
In this role, you will be responsible for providing audit services to Certification programs and other NSF clients throughout the
Chicago, IL area.
You will be expected to schedule your own audits to complete and will need to be able to work 2-3 weeks per month.
A typical audit can range from 2-5 days at a rate of up to $650 per audit day.Principle Accountabilities Include, But Are Not Limited To
- Perform 2nd party audits for retail clients
- Manages own work plans for the completion of audits within a determined timeframe, including schedule and workload
- Summarize audit findings & report those finding in a timely manner
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients
- Address any questions or concerns from all clients in a professional manner
- Communicates effectively with clients and account manager
Qualifications:
- Excellent verbal and written communication, analysis, and problemsolving skills
- Bachelor's degree in environmental health, related science or business
- Minimum of 3 years dietary supplement experience
- Two (2) years related industry auditing experience
- Ability to travel up and complete audits up to a 150 mile radius of
Chicago, IL: - Live within 100 miles of
Chicago, IL: - Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to open a business entity if you do not already have one
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to obtain a profession registration (environmental health, engineering, or related profession)
Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in environmental health, related science or business
- Experience auditing or with quality control
- A minimum of two (2) years experience working in the public or private sector in industry
- Work experience as a chemist, microbiologist, or related quality function
- Lead Auditor Certification, HAACP or PCQI Certification
- Professional registration
- Foreign language skills (Spanish, French, other languages)
