- Taking, processing, and maintaining X-rays following safety protocols.
- Handling animals and restraining them during exams.
- Administering and monitoring medications, anesthesia, vaccines, and treatments under veterinarian supervision.
- Ensuring cleanliness and organization of exam rooms, treatment areas, and lab spaces; restocking supplies in exam rooms and maintaining medical equipment.
- Interacting with clients, showing professionalism, warmth, and compassion; handling client and patient concerns.
- Communicating effectively with veterinarians and team members regarding clients, patient care plans, and other related matters.
- Performing any additional duties as assigned.
- State license as a certified/licensed/registered veterinary technician in the state of employment.
- Ability to lift and handle patients and equipment weighing up to 25 pounds independently, or over 25 pounds with assistance.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety measures, including proper PPE usage.
- Basic computer skills, familiarity with MS Office applications, and basic math abilities for medication dosage calculations.
