'Our client is a start-up company that has become a leading white-label provider for insurance solutions and digitization, thanks to the support of top investors from the insurance industry. With its unique technology platform, the company delivers customized and innovative insurance products seamlessly and reliably. Our client's products are marketed by over 50 partners. Due to the company's continued growth, we are looking for a "Head of Finance" (M/F/d).

Responsibilities:

Management of the finance department, coordination of projects
Interfaces with various departments (especially controlling, business intelligence, IT development, risk management, actuarial science, etc.)
Competent contact person for the board, executives, auditors, and regulatory authorities
Responsible for the development of the insurance core system in terms of accounting, conceptual collaboration with the development team
Design, development, and maintenance of accounting methods and processes, particularly for relevant insurancerelated business transactions
Responsible for the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements (HGB) and booking of insurancerelated results and balance sheet positions
Responsibility for all necessary internal and external financial reporting
Ideally, knowledge of Solvency II reporting and potential future accounting standards (e.g. IFRS)
Involvement in the IBNR reservation in collaboration with the actuarial department
Contact person for reinsurers, particularly for related settlements
Management of international expansion from a finance perspective
Taxrelated issues, preferably with coordination of external assistance
