Settlement Controls & Solutions, Manager


What does a successful Settlement Controls & Solutions, Manager do at Fiserv?


As the Settlement Controls & Solutions Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that every transaction is accounted for daily through all systems and that the associated funds movement occurs in a controlled and timely environment to the correct designation points.

This includes system and bank reconciliations, issue identification and resolution, data analytics, and process engineering products and services offered within settlement.


What you will do:


  • Establish proper oversight of a team responsible for the resolution of transaction discrepancies between institutions, especially in the settlement of digital payments
  • Ensure daily reconciliation and cash management functions are done completely and accurately
  • Monitor and analyze reconciliation output and KPI's for decision making purposes
  • Contribute critical feedback on client implementations, projects, initiatives, etc. to ensure successful operationalization
  • Promote and manage a team culture of consistent process improvement
  • Provide guidance and coaching to team members related to daytoday functions as well as career growth and development

What you will need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Economics, or related field
  • 5+ years' experience in payments or banking industry with regulatory knowledge (i.e. NACHA)
  • 2+ years' experience leading others
  • Knowledge of backend bank processing systems
  • Working knowledge with Power BI, Visio, SharePoint
  • Working knowledge of Debit and Credit Network and Association rules and regulations

What would be great to have:

  • Experience facilitating or participating in control/financial audits (SOC1, SOX, etc.)
  • Working knowledge and understanding of Fiserv banking products and services
  • Knowledge of Data Lake Technology, AI, Robotics, etc.
  • Knowledge of different card brands
  • VISA, Mastercard, AMEX, Discover, etc.
This role is not eligible to be performed in Colorado, California, District of Columbia, Hawaii, New York or Washington.
