    Job Description

    Title: AWS Engineer (Python)
    Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid)
    Rate: $50/hr

    Note: This position is a contract on W2, and is NOT open to C2C

    This role is focused on end-to-end Cloud Native Application Development with Python. This is not a Data Engineering Role.

    Top Skills:

    • At least 7 years of experience in Python Programming;
    • Ability to design and build server-less and stateful systems on AWS, that are scalable and highly available;
    • At least 5 years of AWS experience with a variety of services, in priority order but not limited to: Lambda, ECS, S3, Dynamo DB, API gateway, Step Functions, SQS, IAM, Security Groups;
    • Experience with Infrastructure as code (Terraform preferred).
    • Must have excellent coding skills, self-starter who will take initiative – troubleshoot and resolve issues

    Description

    We are developing a model hosting Platform, empowering modeling teams across the organization to host their AI/ML models as APIs in an efficient, self-serve, secure, and high-performing manner. We strive to operate like a startup within a corporate setting, advancing rapidly and iteratively collaborating with our partners to achieve the optimal solution. The ideal candidate is a collaborative team member, adaptable in their expertise, enthusiastic about learning, and embraces fresh challenges.

    Although we have specialized DevOps and Cloud teams, their role is to offer communal services and optimal methodologies for teams to be autonomous. This signifies that beyond being proficient in crafting robust application logic, developers are also accountable for deploying their own cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as code, and maintaining their CI/CD pipelines while making necessary updates.

    Requirements

    • At least 7 years of experience in Python programming encompassing application service development.
    • Ability to design and build serverless and stateful systems on AWS, that are scalable and highly available.
    • At least 5 years of AWS experience with a variety of services, prioritized but not restricted to:
    • Lambda, ECS, S3, Dynamo DB, API gateway, Step Functions, SQS, IAM, Security Groups.
    • Experience with Infrastructure as code (Terraform preferred).
    • Experience with microservice development patterns.
    • Experience working in an agile environment.
    • Experience/ Working knowledge configuring and deploying CI/CD pipelines
    • Experience with version control like GitLab
    • AI/ML experience/certification is a plus.
    • Experience with Apigee is a plus.
