Description
We are searching for a Financial Planning and Analysis Director to join our team located at our headquarters in Lake Forest, IL.
The Financial Planning and Analysis Director is responsible for providing leadership with the analysis and information they need to consider, including economic and business trends and reviews of past company performance.
Prepare a daily/weekly/monthly package that provides business performance, risks, and opportunities that will have a financial impact on the business.
Prepare performance reviews and other formal financial packages for senior management; Perform variance analysis vs.include accompanying written business analysis to identify problems areas and make suggestions for improvement by partnering with business groups finance leads; develops and analyzes performance metrics.
Review the business overview section and ensure that the information is correct and that all information to be provided is available and easily audited.
Ensure that the strategic financial planning process for the Company links to the current year budget and long-term plan.
Develop and enhance financial planning processes, including development of an integrated forecasting process (12 month rolling) and platform (this would incorporate our mid-month, plus our various outlooks/cycles)Evaluate current share trends, perform competitor analysis, and evaluate potential business solutions.
Provide Accounting 101 training to business personnel.
Coming from a diverse background in accounting and finance, you will drive creative thinking and create harmonized change to work towards continuous improvement.
Must be team oriented with the ability to work on high collaboration and performance teamsBA/BS degree in Finance or Accounting.
~15+ years of related professional corporate Accounting/Finance experience, preferably in a large manufacturing headquarter environment.
~ Prior team management experience combined with a proven track record of developing, coaching, and mentoring a large diverse staff (10+ employees).
~ Broad accounting and finance experience with exposure to a wide range of business functions and demonstrated leadership.
~ Proficient in MS Office with high proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
~ Proficient in large, automated financial systems such as SAP, Oracle, JDE, Hyperion Planning, and HFM.
~ Demonstrated expertise with financial modeling.
~ Exercise sound judgment with the ability to take calculated risks and make risk/return recommendations.
~ Solid project management capabilities with the ability to organize and manage multiple projects simultaneously from origin through execution.
~ Ability to be discreet with confidential information.
~ Ability to work a flexible schedule during key business deadlines.
~ Must be team oriented with the ability to work on high collaboration and performance teams.
Icing on the cake:
MBA or other advanced degree.
Proficient with forecasting and budgeting tool implementation.
