Job Summary
The New gTLD Program is an initiative coordinated by ICANN that enables the expansion of the domain name system. Via the introduction of new generic top-level domains (gTLDs), the program aims to enhance innovation, competition and consumer choice.

Many new safeguards to help support a secure, stable and resilient Internet are also being introduced as a result of the program.


Key Responsibilities & Duties:


  • Play a key role in development activities to support transition of programs from concept, policy, to operations with a strategic vision.
  • Become the expert for the applicant's various possible journeys in the New gTLD Program and ensure a cohesive approach is instituted.
  • Work closely with the project leads, support functions, and project managers to ensure timely execution of the development of various systems, designing of the processes and procedures, and procurement and training of various vendors.
  • Serve as a deputy to the project lead and provide support for project activities.
  • Facilitate crossfunctional discussions, consultations, and working sessions.
  • Track and communicate progress and status information for internal and external reporting.
  • Be an exceptional team player and be comfortable working in a highly diverse, multicultural, and dynamic environment.
  • Other duties as assigned or requested.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):

  • Strong strategic, operational, and organized mindset.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in the English language with demonstrated ability to effectively inform and influence.
  • Utilizes project management skills with experience in managing projects from concept to implementation.
  • Highly organized and detailoriented with the ability to manage work on concurrent projects in a fastpaced environment.
  • Demonstrates a strong work ethic and autonomy.
  • Complex problemsolving and critical thinking skills with the ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions.
  • Experience with analyzing and interpreting policy or contractual provisions.

Education and Experience Requirements:


  • Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in a relevant field of study.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in a related industry.
  • Prior experience working for an international organization preferred.
  • Experience managing vendors is a plus.

Languages:


  • Fluency, both written and spoken, in English is required.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:


  • International travel may be required to support ICANN related meetings as requested for lengths of 710 days for each trip, approximately three times per year, likely on different continents.
  • Comfort level with an international work environment that requires availability at times outside normal business hours.
  • Work is performed in a normal office environment with limited privacy and some exposure to background noise.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee regularly is required to sit. The employee is frequently required to talk or hear; use hands and arms to reach, handle or feel. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
  • The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Work location is Los Angeles, CA.
  • Targeted Base Salary Low:

$85K + 10% Bonus + Benefits

  • Targeted Base Salary High:
**$110K + 10% Bonus + Benefits
