- Develop and implement plans to maintain property, equipment, and grounds in optimal condition.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Supervise and train Engineering staff in Customer Service, SOPs, and Loss Prevention.
- Create and manage Engineering staff schedules.
- Contribute to budget planning and financial forecasting.
- Establish preventative maintenance programs for hotel equipment.
- Oversee inspection and certification of emergency and life safety systems.
- Drive energy conservation initiatives.
- Review and address guest feedback promptly.
- Ensure ADA compliance.
- Administer vendor contracts and handle room maintenance requests efficiently.
- Respond to alarms and emergencies swiftly.
- Support special projects and renovations.
- Engage in Highgate Hotel programs and Safety Committee.
- Minimum 3 years of progressive facilities management experience in hospitality or related field.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Stationary Engineer's license may be required.
- Proficiency in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work long hours.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Strong multitasking and prioritization abilities.
- Commitment to high standards of service and hotel operations.
- Capability to handle complex information and maintain confidentiality.
- Flexibility to attend meetings, trainings, and provide coverage as needed.
