Job Summary


The
Office of
Community Engagement, Equity, and Belonging (CEEB) is focused on helping ensure that all students feel connected to the broad Harvard Law School (HLS) community and within smaller environments across our campus.

Among other responsibilities, this office develops and provides new programming for historically underrepresented and first-generation students; builds on the Amicus platform as a tool for creating mentorship connections; and supports leaders of HLS student organizations and journals in achieving their goals.


The Program Administrator works within this high-volume setting providing proactive customer service to students, including 80+ student organizations and 14 journals, ensuring that needs are met.

Supports students and assigned constituents within Harvard Law School (HLS) in achieving online and print communications and business goals through web services, marketing materials, and print media.

This position establishes long-term projects that increase awareness of and interaction between student journals, organizations, and HLS.


Position Description
**As a
Program Administrator, you will**: - Advise, maintain, revise, and assist in updating 100+ student journal and student organization WordPress websites while also assisting with any marketing efforts the group may have.

  • Utilize webbased technology to manage the processes and policies for student journals leadership transitions, policies, and procedures for the creation and dissolution of student journals.
  • Update and maintain the HLS website for the Office of Community Engagement, Equity, and Belonging (CEEB). Trains relevant stakeholders on WordPress and troubleshoots related problems as needed.
  • Acts as liaison to Communications office, ITS, and other departments to assist in web, print, and overall designrelated activities and ensure streamlined, coordinated, and cohesive messaging through CEEB and studentmanaged media.
  • Provides proactive customer service to students and other constituents to ensure that their needs are met.
  • Gather and maintain data and prepare reports for the office, using systems such as Amicus, Qualtrics, and advanced Excel skills; prepare statistics and reports on program participation, budget, and evaluations.
  • Interpret and clarify local and University policies and procedures for student leaders; ensure compliance with university policies and procedures and applicable legal rules and regulations.
  • Provide back up support of the Amicus system for student mentorship.

Basic Qualifications


5 or more years of experience in office administration or related field (business environment and/or customer service) including website management.

Education beyond high school may count toward experience.


Additional Qualifications and Skills

We are looking for people who have:

  • Proficiency in MS Office 365, particularly Excel
  • Proficiency in WordPress and website management
  • Ability to support students and diverse constituencies with seasoned problemsolving skills, strong diplomatic skills, detail orientation, and ability to handle complex and confidential material
  • Proven ability to stay organized and multitask with frequently shifting priorities and interruptions
  • Solid written and oral communication skills
  • Experience using Content Management Systems (e.g., WordPress, Rhythmyx, Drupal, Joomla)
  • Ability to create custom websites, logos, and designs. Ability to continually help students learn the basics of updating their own WordPress websites
  • Knowledge of all Adobe products is a must
  • Must be social media savvy in order to foresee the best way to communicate with students and assigned members of HLS community
