Position Snapshot:

The Dispatcher assigns drivers and vehicles to convey delivery of reinforced precast concrete products to job sites in the region.

This position will also serve as counter help to assist retail customers with completing purchases and picking up orders.


Essential Functions and Responsibilities:


  • Prepare loading lists for products.
  • Prepare ship tickets and delivery directions to job sites.
  • Coordinate and manage the most efficient loads to remain costeffective as a company, combining shipments based on their routes and timeline to minimize how many trucks and drivers are out.
  • Keep tabs on the weather at all drivers' locations to be able to flag potential issues.
  • Interface with the project manager and operations team to receive support during manufacturing and delivery of product.
  • Review Shipped Goods Report each morning.
  • Call customers to verify and/or notify of deliveries.
  • Assist customers with pickup orders and purchases.
  • Provide clerical and data entry support.
  • Back up other office functions.
  • All other duties as assigned by the plant manager.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:


  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office suite, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Must be capable of learning software programs designed to manage all aspects of production scheduling.
  • Knowledge of or willingness to learn Titan software.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment with multiple and evolving priorities.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of all CP&P products.

Qualifications:


  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Associate's degree or two (2) years of experience in a related field is preferred.

Requirements:


  • Must reside in the continental U.S. within the assigned region. No relocation assistance is provided.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer.

Typical Schedule:
Work is generally performed Monday-Friday, 40+ hours per week depending on workload and production demands.


Typical Physical Demands:
Physical agility, which may require any or all of the following: standing, sitting, walking, climbing, reaching, bending/stooping, lifting (50lbs. max), pushing/pulling (50lbs. max).


Working Conditions:

Work is generally performed in an office environment, with long periods of sitting and working at a computer, standing, or walking, and occasional pulling, pushing, or lifting.

May occasionally enter production environment with ambient weather/air conditions, loud noise, dangerous equipment, and variable lighting. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required in all production and loading areas.


Compensation:
Based on skills, knowledge, and experience.
