- MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- 60% **Business Development**
- Builds a diverse portfolio of opportunities and strategic partnerships to facilitate BCS's growth.
- Maintains and nurtures relationships with new and existing customers.
- Works closely with the sales team to drive business from current clients and generate new leads.
- Analyzes market trends and proposes initiatives to capitalize on sales opportunities.
- Establishes collaborations with external partners for network leverage and project acquisition.
- Assists in creating marketing strategies and tools to support sales objectives.
- Ensures customer satisfaction by addressing concerns and maintaining communication.
- Communicates Business Development strategy to various teams within the organization.
- 30% **Attends Marketing/Sales/Networking Events**
- Participates in industry functions, conferences, and community engagements to gather market insights.
- Supports industry events and collaborates with the sales team for event coverage.
- Engages with customers, prospects, and partners to enhance relationships.
- Evaluates and plans for future events based on strategic objectives.
- Contributes to event assessment and engagement strategy.
- 10% **Training and Development**
- Participates in sales and business development training sessions.
- Attends seminars and learns about industry best practices.
- Stays updated on BCS products, services, and technologies.
- Continues education as required.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Marketing, or related field preferred.
- Minimum five years of experience in HVAC industry or related field.
- Strong knowledge of building automation, HVAC concepts, and operations.
- Proficient in customer needs assessment and sales proposal development.
- Experience in mentoring and team development.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Contract evaluation and negotiation skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Valid driver's license.
- Travel required within the local area and Kansas.
- Occasional overnight stays may be necessary.
- Completes continuing education as needed.
