Brethren Village Retirement Community, in Lititz, PA, is hiring friendly and dependable full-time and part-time
Servers.
The ability to work during the morning and day, year-round,
is required.


Our Servers have the opportunity to work in a full service restaurant open to the public, in a casual Bistro, and to help with catered functions.

No prior experience is required for most positions; we will provide paid training.


Brethren Village offers our Servers a stable hourly wage (rather than relying on tips); $.50 extra per hour for weekend work;
every other weekend off.

Applicants with prior experience as a Server may be hired as a "Lead Server", with a $16.50 starting rate of pay.

Typical Work Schedules:


The ability to work from morning through late afternoon
is required.**-
Full-time, benefits-eligible, 40 hours per week: weekdays plus _every other_ weekend and _every other _holiday; work days will vary a bit from week to week; typical hours are 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

Part-time: approximately 8 to 24 hours per week;
mornings and daytime, including _every other_ weekend and _every other_ holiday; work days will vary a bit from week to week


Core Requirements:

- a high school diploma or G.E.D.
- basic computer skills: the ability to access and navigate web sites, and use software, apps, and databases independently
- the ability to complete online training independently
- dependability: ability and willingness to meet attendance standards
- attention to safety: ability and willingness to consistently work in a safe and alert manner, and to report to work fit for duty; commitment to wearing protective equipment as required for the position and adhering to all health and safety standards
- commitment to treating each Resident, Team Member, and member of the Brethren Village community with respect


Additional Requirements for this Position:

- the ability to consistently interact with all dining guests in a friendly, polite, and helpful manner
- ability to remain calm in a fast-paced environment
- willingness to complete all assigned work in an effective and efficient manner
- must be willing and able to work in a safe and hygienic manner at all times, consistently following Brethren Village protocols and sound food-safety practices
- the ability to push and pull up to 50 lbs. (carts), and lift up to 30 lbs. (trays)
- the ability to work every other weekend and holiday as scheduled

for Lead Servers:1 year or more of prior experience as a Server, and the ability to effectively train and guide other Dining staff
