Position Summary - Primary responsibilities include daily animal care and husbandry: feeding/watering/cage changes, conducting health observations, facilities upkeep, and supply management. Additionally, this position will provide critical backup support during periods of staff absence (i.e., during vacation periods, and summer and winter school break). Training for this position will be provided on site. The university is under both federal and internal Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee mandate to maintain high animal care standards. Parttime employees make it possible for the university to maintain these compliance mandates.
Conditions of Employment - This is an hourly, parttime position.
- Must be available Monday through Friday, from mornings until early afternoon
Work schedule:

Required Qualifications - High school diploma or equivalent
- Must meet physical requirement for the job, including ability to lift up to 50lbs
Preferred Qualifications
- Collegelevel course work (completed or in progress) in fields related to animal science such as biology, veterinary medicine, and psychology, or experience producing comparable knowledge and skills.
