Comprehensive Life Resources is looking for a qualified Staff Accountant to join our Finance team in downtown Tacoma, WA.

Function: Responsible for providing accounting, finance, fiscal administrative analysis, and support for the agency Finance Department. Serves as a member of the organization that welcomes, engages, and serves individuals with complex wellness needs.

Responsibilities:

Compile and prepare backup for agency's billing, payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
Properly prepare and enter invoices and other adjusting entries into the accounting system.
Assist and prepare agency filings.
Review Cash Receipts and Bank Deposits - Assist in reconciling bank statements.
Assist in designing, developing, preparing, implementing and managing required financial reports and accounting systems to facilitate accounting functions.
Compile information, create and maintain reports required by management, Board of Directors, funding sources and auditors.
Coordinate with HR in the bi-weekly preparation of Payroll. Assist Controller/Revenue Cycle Manager in processing/maintaining retirement plan, 403(b) contributions and loans.
Assist in preparation of monthly general ledger accounts reconciliation.
Assist in preparing and maintaining the general ledger.
Perform special projects and /or assignments as directed by Controller/Revenue Cycle Manager/CFO.
Coordinate with other staff as needed to facilitate accounting functions.
Coordinate with admin and program departments on supply logistics, purchasing, and tracking subsidy funds.
Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or equivalent experience
Must be proficient in MS office, database management, and electronic payroll management.
Must be proficient in Excel and be able to create and utilize spreadsheets.
Demonstrates ability to multi-task, prioritize deadlines, work independently, take initiative, and maintain confidentiality.
