Overview:
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team.

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance of our facilities and equipment.

This is a vital role in our organization, as you will play a key part in maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.


Responsibilities:


  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including but not limited to: repairing machinery, equipment, or systems; troubleshooting issues; and conducting preventive maintenance.
  • Conduct inspections to identify potential problems or hazards and take appropriate action to resolve them.
  • Utilize schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals to diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions.
  • Weld and fabricate parts as needed for repairs or modifications.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from various departments within the organization.
  • Assist with the supervision and coordination of external contractors when necessary.
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal stakeholders by addressing their maintenance concerns in a timely manner.

Requirements:


  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
  • Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical systems, plumbing, and HVAC.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
  • Proficient in welding and fabrication techniques.
  • Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) is preferred.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and coordinate tasks effectively.
  • Excellent problemsolving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues efficiently.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.

Pay:
$ $25.00 per hour


Experience:


  • Maintenance: 1 year (preferred)

License/Certification:

  • Driver's License (required)

Ability to Commute:

  • Washington, DC required)

Ability to Relocate:

  • Washington, DC 20012: Relocate before starting work (required)
