- Assist in the performance of direct patient care services, including inpatient consults and inpatient rounding.
- Schedule patients for procedures including pre-authorizations, work with other facilities to coordinate procedures as needed, process orders, sending reports back to referring doctors.
- Perform physical examinations, determine medical histories, diagnose and treat illness and/or injuries.
- Field phone calls from patients, referring physicians, nurses, and other health care professionals regarding patients to identify potential areas of concern in the medical management of the patients
- Educate patients on their medical care
- They must be able to work full-time weekdays, equitable weekends, some holidays, and be able to take call (call is compensated separately). Spanish speaking is a plus, but not a requirement. We offer a competitive base salary which can be enhanced by taking call in the hospital, generous PTO, full complement of benefits including health insurance and 401k.
- Graduate AMA accredited program
- Must be up-to-date with the standards required for continuing medical education for physician assistants
- Prior specific radiology experience will not be required initially
