Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team.
The Assistant Store Manager will assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily operations and ensuring the store meets its sales goals.
This is a key leadership role that requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
RESPONSABILITIES:
Handle of day-to-day retail store operations:
- Responsible for managing the store, opening and closing procedures
- Do daily call backs
- Answer phone
- Take and process orders and instruct designers to fulfill them
- Assist in wrapping arrangements and products as per policy, if needed
- Make sure, all arrangements and products leave the store as per standards
- Arrange trip sheets for delivery with driver(s)
- Make sure all sales are accounted for with order sheet
- Handle walkin customers
- Follow opening and closing procedures
- Cash out and close the store according to standards
- Handle special requests, address client complaints and follow up
- Process refunds
- Price and display priced items, at all times, accordingly
- Handle every client as per OVANDO's philosophy ensuring each client always enjoys the same shopping experience
OTHER RESPONSABILITIES:
- Develop and improve upon systems to run OVANDO more efficiently (a system driven company, not a person driven company)
- Create forms and reports as needed
- Up sell and develop strong relationships with existing customers (recommended reading: )
- Assist in creating sales promotions
- Develop new markets
- Maintain a dynamic sales floor, including but not limited to staff attitude, proper displays and merchandising, prices.
- Increase database / client list (complete addresses)
- Assist in product research and purchasing as per Ovando standards (always 3 quotes)
- Manage inventory (daily vases, floral supplies, wrapping and stationary supplies )
- Place product orders
- Implement and supervise receiving merchandise procedures
- Assist in developing the OVANDO knowhow and mentality
- Ensure cleanliness of the store
- Maintain OVANDO Manual current
- Prepare reports as needed.
- Comply with OVANDO dress code, policies and procedures

Pay:
From $55,000.00 per year
