**Assistant Controller

**Summary of Responsibilities: Owns accounting policies and procedures. Creates/completes account reconciliations. Reviews account reconciliations completed by other accounting staff. Drives month end close. Seeks out ways to drive efficiencies in the accounting process. Works with the any external parties as needed (audit, tax, etc.). Works with the controller, FP&A and treasury functions to ensure best practices. Works with Manager of Revenue and Procurement Manager to ensure processes are maintained within GAAP.


Job Description:


The Assistant Controller will be key to ownership and implementation of accounting policies and procedures along side the key members of the Accounting/Finance team.

This role will be the point person for driving efficiencies within the month end close and accounting processes. They will work closely with the Controller to manage external parties (Audit & Tax, etc.). They will create as well as review month end account reconciliations.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Driving month end close
  • Create/complete/review month end account reconciliations
  • Ownership, implementation and creation of accounting policies and procedures in accordance with GAAP
  • Year End Audit and Tax workpaper preparation
  • Work with the FP&A, Treasury and Line of Business (LOB) leaders on Budgeting and Forecasting
  • Driving efficiencies in policy, procedures and timelines
  • Monthly reporting packages as needed
  • Review invoices (as needed) to ensure alignment with vendor agreements/contracts
  • Ad hoc projects and reporting
  • Coaching and development

Qualifications:


  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Ability to interact with multiple levels within an organization seamlessly
  • Deadline driven with strong time management skills
  • Strong excel skills
  • Experience with NetSuite a plus
Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Related Field
  • Experience with software and tech enable services a plus
  • 57 years + direct experience
  • Supervisory experience
  • High level GAAP knowledge
  • Ability to work in the US without sponsorship


The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.

The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.

At Crowe, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.

A reasonable estimate of the current range is $91,736.00 to $206,145.00 per year.
