Construction Estimator - West Babylon, United States - Advanced Restoration
Description
We are a well-established full-service property damage and disaster restoration company. We are looking to hire an experienced Construction Estimator to join our team. This position is responsible for scoping damages, writing and negotiating assignments ranging anywhere from 5K -1MM.
The estimator will be responsible for on-site inspections to ensure an accurate scope of repairs is created and effectively communicate with all PM's, clients and resource providers on assignments.

Responsibilities:
- Establish accurate repair scope according to assessment during onsite inspections
- Create a detailed scope of repairs utilizing the Xactimate estimating program
- Submit and negotiate repair scope with assigned adjusters and clients
- Communicate with adjusters and clients throughout the length of the repair timeline as needed
- Review and evaluate subcontractor bids and proposals
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing and availability of materials
- Communicate with Project managers and production teams to assist with preparing budgets from completed scope report
- Revise and complete any scope deviations and or addendums during project builds
- Assist with monitoring project costs throughout the construction process to ensure adherence to budget
- Work with insurance adjusters and clients as necessary
Requirements:
- 5 + years previous restoration industry estimating and/or insurance adjusting experience.
- Strong knowledge of construction management principles, practices, and techniques
- Proficiency in using construction estimating software such as Xactimate and Docusketch
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills for accurate cost calculations
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and other technical documents
- Strong negotiation skills to obtain competitive pricing from suppliers and subcontractors
- Experience using Xactanalysis and Alacrity programs a plus
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with project teams, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors
- Current IICRC certifications are a plus
Pay:
$90, $120,000.00 per year
