Under the supervision of the Specialty Dry Mix Superintendent, this position is responsible for efficiently operating the dry mix operation.

Performs other related duties as assigned. In addition, this position supervises various drivers. Is responsible for supporting and demonstrating the

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Able to operate double forklift, bag product, and all duties on the floor. Onthejob training may be required to perform these duties.
  • Able to run all products including specialty products. Onthejob training will be required to fulfill these responsibilities.
  • Effectively supervises sacking operation teams in all areas of production.
  • Assists in recruiting, hiring and training of staff for area of responsibility.
  • Leads strategic short, medium and long term planning initiatives.
  • Coach, train, instruct, and offer guidance to all subordinates.
  • Interprets company policies to assists operations that EHS measures are in place and enforced.
  • Assists operations in diagnosing challenges in personnel, machinery and equipment.
  • Leads efforts in working with Superintendents and other Supervisors to ensure key performance measures are met.
  • Recommends measures to improve production processes, procedures, and overall performance.
  • Perform annual reviews for direct reports, engage in employee development and discipline as applicable.
  • Responsible for auditing time data audit report of recorded time and errors.
  • Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
  • Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.
  • Partners with Superintendents and Maintenance to determine when machinery should be shut down and repaired.
  • Attends safety meetings and abides by all safety rules set forth by company and governmental regulatory agencies; ensures that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.
  • All other duties and responsibilities assigned from time to time by the company or its designated representatives.
  • Predictable and Regular attendance is required.

QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • High school education or equivalent.
  • Experience in manufacturing maintenance setting.
  • Training and experience are interchangeable on a year for year basis.
  • Requires mechanical ability, good reading, writing, mathematical and supervisory skills.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete production operations.
  • Predictable and Regular attendance is required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Standing, walking, talking/listening, bending and twisting at the neck and waist, simple grasping with both hands, and reaching with hands and arms below shoulder level.
  • Lifting upto 100 pounds.

  • Office environment with moderate noise.
  • Plant environment with loud noise.
  • Work near moving mechanical parts, work in high, precarious places, outdoor weather conditions, heat or cold (nonweather) conditions, risk of electrical shock, exposure to dust.
  • Outdoor weather conditions.
  • Extreme temperatures.
  • Wear mandatory and/or other appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)

Salary Range $35-$39 / hr. DOE
