Roles & Responsibilities:
IT Asset Specialist

• IT

Order Fulfillment team is responsible for receiving, processing, and delivering IT-Related orders within an organization.

• An IT Asset specialist is responsible for managing and optimizing a company's IT Assets, which includes hardware, software and licenses.
• Responsible for endtoend IT asset operations, ensuring timely procurement of hardware.
• Procurement of IT assets, Telecom equipment & hardware (Motorola, CDCE), leveraging SAP & SAP Ariba to process purchase requisitions, order processing, and vendor management.
• Work closely with project teams to understand specific requirements, forecast IT supply needs, and align procurement activities with technology initiatives with all the required approvals in place.
• Review the costs and negotiate with vendors, resulting in a cost reduction and improved service levels.
• Create purchase order entries in Fishbowl and track the orders status for delivery to warehouse.
• Process the goods receipt/service sheet entries for received materials to enable the payment process for vendors.
• Review and analyze the available BAU stock and prepare plan for hardware purchases based on the available funding and requirement.
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with IT supply management, including potential disruptions in the supply chain, vendor reliability, and market fluctuations.
• Create and maintain forecast vs consumed report for the customer.
• Perform quarterly audit for min/max inventory and review with customer for signoff.
• Create, maintain, and track the purchase order for Telecom equipment & hardware (Motorola, CDCE), Mobile networks (Verizon, ATT, T-Mobile, All Roads Satellites).
• Review, analyze and process the invoices of Telecom equipment & hardware (Motorola, CDCE), Mobile networks (Verizon, ATT, T-Mobile, All Roads Satellites) for payments monthly.
• Collaborate between vendor and accounts teams for discrepancies in payments.
• Analyze and prepare new change orders (CO) for timeline extension and/or adding funds as required for Telecom equipment & hardware, Mobile Networks.
• Implemented inventory control measures, reducing excess stock.
• Managed vendor relationships and collaborated with vendors to streamline processes, resulting in improvement in delivery times.
• Collaborate with SAP specialists to integrate IT asset management processes seamlessly into the SAP environment, ensuring accurate data synchronization and optimal system performance.
• Responsible for monitoring, analysis, and reporting activities in support of BAU & Project requirements including material supply, returns and discrepancies, inventory management.
• Queue management, assignment and guidance as required for the support requests in BMC Remedy.
• Owner for engaging with user on the lost IT devices to guide them through the process.
