Role Summary:


  • Performs production quality assurance inprocess and finished product testing and new product alignment in accordance with ISO.
  • 9001/14001 requirements following Axalta Test Methods, work instructions and standard operating procedures using laboratory.
- instrumentation and equipment to ensure product quality, regulatory compliance, and customer requirements.

  • Formulating color development for Business Segments in accordance with color development requests following Axalta Color System
  • Perform laboratory tests and evaluate product to ensure compliance with
- quality control specifications

  • Color discrimination and color match acceptability
  • Weighing and spraying
  • Bending and lifting various container sizes weighing up to 40 lbs to
- perform testing requirements.

  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and facilities.
  • Maintain safety standards and thorough understanding of site procedures.
  • Perform basic computer skills for various programs and equipment.
  • Provide production laboratory support for technical team.
  • Manage hazardous waste according to site policy, area specific.
- procedures and training.

  • Rotate through the site's core roles.
  • Maintain lab supply inventory.
  • Perform various safety / housekeeping audits.
  • Perform equipment standardizations/calibrations as specified.

Role Qualifications/Requirements:


  • Knowledge of area processes and procedures
  • Knowledge of functionspecific information systems
  • Knowledge of laboratory instrumentation/equipment capabilities and controls
  • Skills to perform basic math functions.
  • Ability to successfully complete Farnsworth-Munsell color test
  • Ability to safely operate laboratory instrumentation/equipment.
  • Ability to recognize, address, and perform basic problemsolving.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively to all levels of the organization both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to work 12 hour rotating shifts/occasional overtime
  • Ability to work in a selfmanaging team environment.
  • Ability to prioritize and adapt quickly to changing demands
  • Ability to meet physical requirements for the role.
  • Ability to operate safely and within site guidelines.
