Meta is seeking a talented attorney to work on Instagram's Privacy Legal team and advise the company on a range of privacy and data protection-related legal initiatives.
This role is product-focused and will involve working closely with cross-functional teams to build products with a privacy-forward design.This will involve learning about new and modified features for Instagram products, identifying and investigating key design elements, coordinating with subject matter experts and regional counsel, and providing practical, actionable advice under global privacy laws.
Lead Counsel, Privacy (Instagram) ResponsibilitiesDrive high-profile and high-impact projects involving privacy analysis and compliance with cross-functional stakeholders across Meta's business, policy, legal, communications, security, and other departments
Develop regulatory strategy with global privacy regulators in connection with new product features and initiatives and maintain Meta's ongoing privacy-by-design processes
Help to develop and conduct general and role-specific privacy trainings across Meta
Participate in internal privacy compliance programs and processes to ensure we meet our obligations under those programs
Minimum Qualifications
Experience advising on privacy legal risks and mitigations
Preferred Qualifications
Business judgment and practical counseling skills
In-house experience with applicable product counseling, compliance, litigation, or regulatory teams
Strong and developed communication skills
Experience prioritizing work and providing advice under deadlines
