Amaxi Nutritional Products is a USDA and FDA food manufacturing facility with the goal to providing nutritious, safe, and healthy food products. We serve both domestic and international markets.
Reporting Structure:
Report directly to the Quality Supervisor/Manager and have specific responsibilities outlined below.
Duties and responsibilities
- Sample materials, bulks and finished goods when necessary.
- Perform sanitation verification and allergen testing on equipment and other areas required.
- Organize, file, and maintain the Quality management system and its corresponding files.
- Participate with internal site audits.
- Ensure the quality records are prepared and collated in accordance with project requirements.
- Prepare and maintain test data for review.
- Correct recording and filling of all relevant record logs and documentation.
- Review all batch productionrelated records, including but not limited to all records for packaging and labeling operations, ensuring that production records are reviewed for completion and errors.
- Always assure use of the most current revision of all documentation.
- Review all receiving records for components, packaging, and labels.
- Determine whether all components, packing, and labels conform to specifications.
- Conduct incoming and inprocess inspection, sampling, final testing and inspection of finished products.
- Perform appropriate tests and examinations of manufacturing batches.
- Perform appropriate tests and examinations of manufacturing batches at points, steps, or stages identified in the master manufacturing record where control is necessary to prevent adulteration.
- Create requests for testing and follow up with outside laboratories for 3rd party tests and results.
- Develop, improve, and customize analytical methods and standard procedures to improve quality and efficiency.
- Maintain all analytical equipment according schedule and to standard.
- Resolve problems with instruments, test methods, lab chemicals, standards, and samples with direct support from Management.
- Assure calibrations, chemicals, analysis and other cGMP compliance activities are performed in the laboratory as applicable.
- Train, coordinate, and advise personnel in test procedures for analyzing components and physical properties of materials.
- Instrumentation experience including Micro, FTIR, and other applicable testing methods to ensure product validity.
- Perform quality control and calibrate equipment if necessary.
- Maintain equipment in proper working order and maintain a clean work area.
- Perform routine and nonroutine tests and analyses using the appropriate technical equipment and instruments.
- Perform miscellaneous tasks within the department as required.
- Effectively manage a documented sample retention program for raw materials/ingredients, Inprocess materials, and finished products.
- Adhere and follow all guidelines prudent to CFR 111, FDA, and applicable governing agencies such as the NSF, SQF, Halal, Kosher, etc.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Ability to lift 50lbs.
- Flexible schedule
- Able to work with mínimal supervision.
- Minimum of 4year experience in the Quality or Quality Control Department of a food manufacturing company or related field.
- 2+ years of experience working in a Laboratory
- Competent knowledge of FDA, and cGMP regulations
- Proficiency in document control and organization.
- Highly responsible, selfmotivated and must be able to work in a team environment.
- Proficient in Computer skills.
Pay:
$ $34.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Experience level:
- 4 years
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
- Weekends as needed
